Xcite Graphic and New Media Design is the trading name and online portfolio of Jason Coates, a freelance Graphic Designer based in the North of Scotland. Jason graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art painting department in 1996 and went on to spend 6 years as Creative Director with Manchester based StudioTech. Here Jason was involved in a broad range of projects, from public art features, architectural lighting and way finding through to brochure design, identity design and web development.
Jason’s strength is in combining keen design skills with in-depth technical knowledge. His extensive skill set includes graphic design, 3D modeling, animation and rendering, HTML, CSS, PHP and Flash animation / scripting. Jason established Xcite in 2005 before relocating back to the Highlands later that same year.
